Our Accessibility Policies

Training

We provide ongoing training to our staff and volunteers on accessibility laws and on how to support individuals with disabilities. This ensures our team is knowledgeable and prepared to offer an inclusive and supportive environment.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

Our Multi-Year Accessibility Plan demonstrates our dedication to meeting the requirements of the AODA. This living document is reviewed and updated at least once every five years to reflect our progress, address new barriers, and set future goals. Key areas of focus include:

Information and Communications: Ensuring our websites and content are accessible to people with disabilities by following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Employment: Implementing fair and accessible employment practices that support hiring, workplace accommodation, and career development for people with disabilities.

Customer Service: Providing accessible customer service operations and training staff on how to interact and communicate effectively with clients who have various disabilities.

Design of Public Spaces: When building or making major modifications to public spaces, considering accessibility for people with disabilities in the design and development process.

Feedback Process

We value your feedback on how we provide accessible customer service. Feedback can be given via email, phone, in writing or online forms. We are committed to reviewing feedback and addressing any accessibility concerns in a timely and respectful manner.

We understand the importance of providing our accessibility policies and documents in formats that are accessible to all our clients and employees. Upon request, we are pleased to offer our Accessibility Policy and Multi-Year Accessibility Plan in alternative formats to suit your needs.
